Bilingual Technical Product Manager

Aquent is looking for a Bilingual Technical Product Manager who is fluent in Japanese and English to focus on the business goals of our customers in Japan and work with the Development Team to translate those needs into working software.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/PRIMARY FUNCTION

• Work closely with the CTO to develop and articulate a clear Product Strategy aligned with business goals. Define the Product Vision, Goals, and Roadmap to guide the development process.
• Prioritize and maintain a Product Backlog based on the Product Roadmap and delivery targets.
• Uncover customer needs and translate them into strong, meaningful user stories that represent a deep understanding of the business value and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with an Agile Leader to lead a cross-functional team through the entire Agile development lifecycle, from ideation to launch through to adoption. Work closely with Engineers, Designers, and Quality Assurance Specialists to ensure a cohesive approach to product development.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure that the product provides an optimal user experience. Consider usability, accessibility, and design principles throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Possess a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the product. Communicate effectively with development teams, addressing technical challenges.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to evaluate the success of the product. Use data to make informed decisions, identify areas for improvement, and optimize product features.
• Foster collaboration and effective communication among team members.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 3+ years experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager
• 3+ years experience working with Agile teams
• Fluent in written and verbal Japanese and English
• In-depth knowledge of agile process and principles
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Successful track record of developing products within deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
• Creative and innovative thinker
• Understanding of business value around feature/functions
• Strong collaborative and inclusive spirit
• Able to effectively manage conflicting stakeholder needs
• Experience writing SQL queries is an asset
• Experience building Tableau Reports is an asset
• Experience with AWS Step Functions is an asset
• Experience working with Google Suite preferred
• Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Willing and able to work 9-5 EST.
• Must have access to fast, reliable internet connection.
• Must be able and willing to travel for Team Meet Ups and Stakeholder Meetings. (Travel
  is limited.)
