Ryuichiro Sugimoto (Ryu) joined Aquent in August 2023 as Japan Country Manager after more than 25 years of experience in human resources. Ryu has extensive experience in the HR field, particularly in recruiting, and has managed and led recruiting teams in both the Japanese and foreign IT industries for a wide variety of positions, including sales, engineering, and consulting positions. He will work together with our clients to solve their challenges on Talent by leveraging our knowledge and our expertise.
Brief Personal History
After graduating from Sophia University with a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration, Ryu joined Rakuten, Inc. in 2006, where he was in charge of sales, engineering, and executive recruiting.
In 2012, he joined LinkedIn Japan as the head of human resources, where he was involved in the promotion of business social networking and direct sourcing in Japan. After that, he returned to the HR and recruiting area, leading recruiting at Accenture, IBM Japan, and Adobe, where he has been in his current position since August 2023.
